We would like to inform you that Story Protocol (IP) has officially been renamed to DATA (Data Network), effective July 5, 2026.
In connection with this rebranding process, there will be some service changes as follows:
Changes to Trading Services
- IP trading will be temporarily suspended on July 5, 2026, at 4:00 PM WIB.
- Trading will resume under the ticker DATA on July 5, 2026, at 6:00 PM WIB.
- During this period, users will not be able to trade IP/DATA.
Token Name Change
- The token name will change from Story Protocol (IP) to Data Network (DATA).
- The ticker will be gradually updated from IP to DATA on the Mobee app
No Action Required
- IP balances will automatically convert to DATA at a ratio of 1 IP = 1 DATA.
- No manual swap, migration, or conversion is required.
What Remains Unchanged
- The total token supply remains 1 billion units, following the previous IP supply structure.
This rebranding is part of Story Protocol's strategic pivot. Previously focused on on-chain intellectual property (IP) licensing, it is now shifting to become an AI training data infrastructure through Data Network. This change also includes the launch of Trace, an on-chain registry for AI training data, as well as integration with Kled, a human data marketplace that brings over 1.5 billion user data records into the network.
We urge all users to be cautious of parties claiming to facilitate the IP to DATA conversion process. This rebranding is automatic and requires no action from users.
