The Ethereum Foundation recently sold 5,000 ETH (worth ~$10.2 million at an average price of $2,042.96) to treasury firm BitMine to fund ecosystem development and protocol research. Because this transaction was conducted OTC, the immediate selling impact on public exchanges is minimized. BitMine now solidifies its position as the largest corporate entity holding ETH with over 4.5 million coins, demonstrating growing institutional appetite for the asset. On the 4-hour chart, the ETH price responded positively to this sentiment by continuing to print Higher Highs and is now coiling tightly against the resistance boundary in the $2,149 area. Technical analysts note that a successful breakout above this zone will provide the technical clearance needed to trigger highly explosive momentum toward the next major supply target at $2,750.
While the upside breakout opportunity is very promising, a sharp rejection at this resistance area could trigger a swift correction. If selling pressure dominates again and the price slips through the red structural support boundary (around $1,960), analysts warn that a bearish scenario could be validated, pulling the price much deeper toward the $1,820 region.
