Sky Protocol (SKY) is the upgraded version of MakerDAO. It introduces USDS, a new stablecoin replacing DAI, and SKY, the governance token replacing MKR (1 MKR = 24,000 SKY). SKY holders can stake for rewards and vote on protocol decisions, while USDS users earn yield through the Sky Savings Rate (SSR). This upgrade brings better scalability, user experience, and reward flexibility to decentralized finance.
