Midnight (NIGHT) is the utility and governance token of a privacy-first blockchain initially developed as a partner chain within the Cardano ecosystem and expanding as a standalone privacy infrastructure. Leveraging zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) and a dual-component token design (including a shielded resource called DUST), Midnight enables applications and data workflows to preserve confidentiality while allowing selective disclosure, with NIGHT used to secure the network, participate in governance, and generate network resources.
