Dash (DASH) is an open-source cryptocurrency built for fast, low-cost global payments with optional privacy. Launched in 2014 as a Bitcoin fork, it introduced a two-tier system of miners and masternodes enabling InstantSend (sub-second transactions) and PrivateSend (enhanced privacy). Dash also uses a decentralized treasury to fund ongoing development.
